Ueli Maibock Tapping in the Löwenzorn Restaurant

May is bock beer time! Be there when Barbara Jenzer, owner of Metzgerei Jenzer, opens the Maibock season with a ceremonial barrel tapping. For two hours, we invite you to enjoy the full-bodied, malty Ueli Maibock – fresh from the barrel and with character!
Culinary highlight: Barbara Jenzer will not only be tapping the keg, but will also have the brand new Ueli Maibock sausage with her, which we will be offering you on this special occasion. This special festive sausage was developed as a real treat for beer lovers.
History & beer culture: The well-known Basel historian and city guide Mike Stoll tells exciting stories about Maibock and its history.

The Fischerstube brewery in Kleinbasel is a guest at Löwenzorn in Grossbasel – a party for the whole of Basel! Come along and celebrate with us.

On Saturday, December 6, 2025, Les Touristes will play their only club show of the year – at Kuppel Basel! And we’re going one better: Ueli Bier is getting the beer for you and will be offering every guest a freshly tapped Ueli Bier at this only concert of the year.

Les Touristes are a pop quintet from Basel and, in their own words, play “pop-jazz rock with dialect lyrics ranging from vulgar to dramatic”. However, influences from hip-hop, chanson and electronic music always find their way into their unique songs. As an “unplugged formation”, the band learned their musical interplay on the road. Les Touristes stand for sophisticated lyrics, catchy melodies and danceable rhythms.

Ueli Fondue Restaurant from November 2024 to March 2025

Where? Ueli-Brau-Bar, Rheingasse 43, 4058 Basel

In the Ueli-Fonduestübli we serve different versions of the legendary Ueli beer fondue, which is produced by the well-known Basel cheese merchant Wirth. There is also the tasty Ueli-Bier-Treber bread, baked by Beschle on Claraplatz. The Ueli-Fonduestübli was designed this year again by the well-known Basel illustrator Hampé Wüthrich and offers authentic and unique Kleinbasel fondue fun for 32 people.

When making reservations, be sure to mention that fondue is required, as we only serve it in the Fonduestübli.
